Congenital Heart Surgery

The Congenital Heart Surgery course at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato Training Center—now in its 18th edition as part of Project Esculapio—is an excellent training program for cardiac surgeons and cardiovascular professionals who wish to enhance their clinical and surgical skills in the treatment of congenital heart disease.

The course takes place over an intensive week — from June 22 to 27, 2026 — and alternates theoretical sessions on various heart diseases with practical surgical simulation sessions, led by Dr. Alessandro Frigiola, using 3D printed heart models. This is an innovative solution that integrates the most advanced technologies with the clinical expertise of an international reference center.

Each day is dedicated to a specific congenital pathology, addressed in its entirety: from diagnosis to surgery, from perioperative management to postoperative treatment.
